Wednesday, September 19, 2018 - A blend of 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah, 14.5% ABV. Glossy black fruit, generous and spicy, floral lift, mineral depth, warmth from the wood, harmonious, hint of garrigue, full and flavoursome but fresh, complete finish with notes of vanilla and cocoa, good length. A well made wine, on its plateau of maturity, with time in hand - until 2023 at least. But it is essential to serve it at 16°C, above that it quickly becomes dull and alcoholic. At restaurant The Royal Oak *, Paley Street, UK.
