Sunday, September 23, 2018 - What a great find… Uncovered as I reorganized some bottles in the cellar. Pop and a pour from a .375. Enjoyed with a late afternoon steak so I wouldn’t have to eat what they serve me on the plane tonight enroute to Brazil.

Dark colors with no evidence of bricking. Tar, cigar and dark fruit deep into the nose, along with a hint of tea leaves.

There’s more fruit here than structured, which isn’t surprising given the softness of the vintage, but it’s still quite well balanced and really extraordinary for a 2010

More dark berries on the palate, And in spite of the lack of structure or backbone to the wine the finish is slightly dry. While I am glad this was my Last Bottle as I believe this needs to be drunk now to be enjoyed, this was really a pleasant surprise. Trust pass – well not well known – continually pleases, although at a higher price point then I’d prefer to pay.
