Tuesday, September 11, 2018 - Difficult to capture - still closed (at 8 years!) Somewhat sharp and tannic, rather astringent, impressive minerality. It might be the wine's "quiet" period before it starts revealing its charms. Prado Enea is one of the great Rioja GRs, and 2010 a great vintage, so we should reserve judgment on this one. Its time will surely come...

9/29/2018 5:13:00 PM - The wine was only released this year and is a long way off maturity. A 1985 earlier this year was in its sweet spot!!

3/1/2019 8:28:00 AM - Hi @redders, that's right - it was served to me by the winemakers themselves in the Muga tasting room in Haro - we were comparing many vintages, including quite a few older ones. So contextually, it's OK to taste this now. I do agree with you, though, that it's a long way from its best moment!
