Friday, October 5, 2018 - Had this at the Charleston off-line for Burgundy night.

This was part of the desert flight that also included a 1936 Cave de Rivesaltes

This was a beautiful wine and a really nice d'Yguem. Light gold color and paired beautifully with the desert courses with complex, never ending flavors of peach, apricot, honey, caramel and creme brulet.
Really in a nice spot now after 20 years.

I don't always search out desert wines, but this was a real treat that paired beautifully with the desert of Caramelized Peach soup with green cardamom and Pain D'Epices Bread Pudding with sourwood honeyed apricots.

A great way to finish a spectacular night
