93 Points

Friday, October 19, 2018 - During a merchant tasting. Did not like this wine, actually the least preferred in this line up. Came across as late harvest and pushed. Too much alcoholic heat. I would stick to the base wine or the Colombis which showed sandy soil elegance.

10/26/2018 9:19:00 PM - Similar to you, I have had some older vintages of this producer and they were always good. But I am not very experienced with this wine so that I could make a definite prediction. All I can say is that this sample was the most concentrated and ripe. Not a bad thing per se but I personally prefer leaner style. In general though, like 2010, the 2016 vintage seems to have good acidity and is not as hot as 03/07/09/15.

    12/30/2018 2:48:00 PM - Why do you give it a 93?

12/30/2018 3:49:00 PM - I see 93 to be the objective quality here that abstracts from my personal preference. I for example dont like Nebbiolo that much, but I have given Mondortino 98 Pts.
