Tuesday, October 23, 2018 - The 2013 Tenuta Nuova is another simply incredible showing from Casanova di Neri. As this slowly begins to unwind it releases seductive aromatics of ripe dark cherries and fresh raspberries which are accompanied by spring florals, spices and hints of fresh porcini adding complexity. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully polished showing remarkable restraint, as well as a gorgeous velvety texture and seamless quality. It continues to impress with its excellent overall depth, balance and focus. The finish is refined with spectacular length leaving behind vivid red fruits lingering on. This is a classic, age-worthy Brunello, and yet again one of the most compelling wines from the region.
