2016 Chionetti Dogliani Briccolero

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Thursday, October 25, 2018 - Plum frangipane tart, fig butter, dust, rosemary, grape jolly ranchers. Expressive nose that opens up with time. Lush and a bit heavy in the mouth, in a nice way. Good acidity on the finish that makes it easy to drink. Oak is there but not overt. Drank with some baked stuffed shells in marinara, but this wine screams fall to me and would be great with the earthier foods that go with it (squash ravioli, mushroom dishes, Thanksgiving fare, etc.).
