Monday, November 5, 2018 - Well this is delicious, albeit quite modern, and drinking very well right now. Grilled plum, cocoa, menthol and espresso on the nose. There is a touch of heat and a wafting nose of raisin from the super-hot 2003 vintage. The palate is rich and opulent, smoky, loaded with raspberry and chocolate, hints of tobacco, just bursting with juicy fruit, yet finishing with salty, savory minerality. The acid is very present albeit feeling a little artificial, but what do I know. This is just a fun, pleasurable, delicious wine.
