Monday, February 5, 2018 - 2003 CLOS des PAPE CHATEAUNEUF du PAPE- it`s rare for this tasting group to get duplicates, but we did in this case; bottle #1 was redolent with black cherry from the nose through the tail; there was a briary blackberry component as well and a touch of dark chocolate by mid palate.

2003 CLOS des PAPE CHATEAUNEUF du PAPE- the 2nd bottle was very similar to the first except that the fruit was fresher and ripe and less briary.
