Monday, November 12, 2018 - The wine was decanted and allowed to breath for one and a half hours. The cork was in very good condition and there were no unsavoury odours. The Wine was dark red through to the edges. No sign of bricking. A little sediment was filtered out during the decant. The bouquet wafted red berries with a hint of coconut and the palate was surprising with the level of fruit, some vanilla and some vague coconut and milk chocolate. At 14 years of aged this wine was delightful, no alcohol heat, primary fruit still evident and balanced acid, tannins and wood. Excellent mouth feel and length. Probably deserves a 94.
