Sunday, December 9, 2018 - A very pretty young Barolo, traditionally made, with wonderful transparency. Med red. Beautiful aromatics, with strawberries and plums, a lovely touch of sourness, something a bit syrupy or port-like too, though without any loss of freshness. It's immediately accessible on the palate, with the fruit underpinned by liqourice and tar. The flavours fill the mouth, and there's a light dusting of tannins, but also great freshness. Long dreamy finish. Not sure what sort of drinking window this will have, but it is delicious now.
