2010 Saxum James Berry Vineyard

Friday, December 14, 2018 - PnP of a bottle I brought to BLT Steak. Nice enough, but still tight after an hour decant. Needs time in bottle, and at least several hours if opening a bottle now (12/2018).

12/15/2018 5:44:00 AM - Good Morning - I am a big Saxum fan as if you take a moment to browse my cellar you can see.. My suggestion to everyone is that these wines need either 4 hour decants or 6-8 hour slow ox to shine. I have gotten the best results opening the wine at breakfast and drinking it at dinner. Happy Holidays

I didn't mean to denigrate the wine, as I'm only pointing out that the 2010, a vintage previously described as tight, is still tight and could probably benefit from additional time in bottle or a long decant. You've got quite a Saxum inventory; I'm also a big fan, though I've got years to go before I get an allocation!
