Tuesday, December 25, 2018 - Perhaps it’s a reflection of how wine-making techniques have improved and/or global warming but I suspect that 25 years ago we might have been over excited by this wine. It is a beautiful crafted, harmonious wine that is easily taken for granted. Not as profound as the 2005 but hard not to enjoy. Better five hours after opening suggests there is no rush to drink it. Red berries, smoke and burnt wood to the fore. Very enjoyable.
