Sunday, December 23, 2018 - Interesting experience. I had a corked bottle of this a few months back, and this was from the same shipment. Opened it to take to dinner, and got heavy funk on the nose. Pumped it, put it in the fridge, and took a different bottle to dinner. Fast forward to the next day, after pulling the stopper out for a couple hours....

Great bottle of Bordeaux. Fresh earth, touch of brett, spices, fresh dark red fruits, and lots of sage & tobacco. Gorgeous nose, all of which flows into a delicious midweight & silky wine on the palate. Clearly present tannins in a long, balanced finish that adds other classic cedar & cigar notes.

Plan to give it some air. Or a few years--it has plenty of time left.
