Saturday, November 12, 2005 - Opened 3 hours before drinking and left in the bottle, with no decanting (the techgnique recommended by Francois). The nose and the taste were of concentrated black and red fruits, a mixture of fresh and stewed. Very thick, almost inky in texture, with noticable spice, and without the characteristic Cos earth. Deep extended finish, qith good complexity. A lovely wine, but I never would have guessed it was Cos. Perhaps typical for very ripe vintages?
