Tuesday, March 5, 2019 - Deep ruby, pronounced intensity nose of Black plums, black cherries, licorice, dark chocolate, clove, toast, prune, truffle and forest floor. It has medium (+) acidity, High alcohol, Medium (+) body, Medium (+) ripe fine tannins and a pronounced intensity of flavours mirroring the aromas. It has a long finish. There is a good harmony between the fruit concentation, acidity and alcohol, the tannins are soft and well integrated. The alcohol despite being high, is well integrated and there is a good complexity comprising clusters of primary, secondary and tertiary notes. Overall this is an outstanding wine with potential for ageing and gaining in complexity.
