Wednesday, July 23, 2008 - This not-so-little bottle of vino from the Rioja region of Spain needs a little time to open up, but when it does...WOW! What a great nose of spicy red fruit, loads of cedar and pencil lead. With the hour or so of breathe time, this little beauty showed black raspberry fruit, cigar box, tobacco, earth and a little smoke. This is an outstanding bottle of wine that will only improve with a few years of bottle age. Think about pairing this with a good piece of red meat off the grill!
