Thursday, November 17, 2005 - Young, primary and exotic, this wine was mind-blowing. The nose is crazily perfumed, literally filling the room with notes of flowers and chocolate. After an hour in the glass we dove in, and this was stunning. Thick, rich, port-like, far more primary than I recall from a prior taste, loaded with licorice and chocolate. And yet, despite the huge initial attack, the palate was stunningly lithe and supple, finishing crazily smooth and long without a hint of heaviness. This is going to be a fun wine to track over the next 15 years!
