After an hour in the glass we dove in, and this was stunning. Thick, rich, port-like, far more primary than I recall from a prior taste, loaded with licorice and chocolate. And yet, despite the huge initial attack, the palate was stunningly lithe and supple, finishing crazily smooth and long without a hint of heaviness. This is going to be a fun wine to track over the next 15 years!
