Lovely bouquet of black fruit, green olive and cedar, cloves and nutmeg.
A powerful full-bodied wine, medium acidity and medium-high alcohol (14%) with significant but developed tannins from the new oak. Powerful and balanced rather than elegant. Well made with an enjoyable structure to it and a medium long finish where the tannins from the 100% new oak come through. High-quality St Estephe that is ready to drink but will probably develop further. Fairly priced.
