Monday, April 29, 2019 - Just perfect Latour now. Somewhat reminiscent of the the 1952 in that it carries both the classic Latour purple grandeur in its masculine profile and a bit more of some very nice but not overdone fruit. Dark purple/deep garnet hue, with a nose that screams classic Latour: dark red and black berries, old oak, elegant dark soil, sous bois, a hint of cigar box, and an endless scent even while drinking. On the palate, the 1990 is in perfect tannic balance, with a complete and non- ending finish. This will persist in nice form for a long time.
