Friday, May 10, 2019 - Very dark, reticent in the nose, somewhat herbal and drying in the taste — but I'm sure this is due to its youth. A very well made Canon Fronsac. Needs time to smooth out. Ample glycerin. Alcohol listed as 14.5% — interesting, since as few as 20 years ago 12.5% was considered standard. 85% merlot, 15% cabernet franc. This estate has been in the same family since 1805. Good value.
