Saturday, May 18, 2019 - Three hour decant, needs a lot more than that to calm the raging tannins this presents. The nose is nice, with red fruits and herbs. The palate is solid and somewhat complex, somewhat taurasi like in some ways, with super grippy tannins that as the glass goes down become more pronounced. I have always enjoyed this varietal but this was clear reminder that age and epic decant time are needed for the best expression.
