Sunday, May 19, 2019 - France and Italy - May 6 to May 10, 2019: Very complex aromatically - calls to mind tobacco, leather, black tea, fig/berry fruit, smoked paprika, rosemary, crushed stone, etc. Broad and rangy on the palate, with elegance. Silky and seamless. Full on the middle, with great finesse to the density. Glides effortlessly through the palate- so much grace and beauty to the structure. Very fine and broad tannins. Tons of depth. Expansive and broad on the finish. Contemplative. Astounding and unforgettable- a singular wine.
