Pale gold in colour. Not oxidised, but seems advanced, with mandarin peel, citrus oil and a hardness to the finish. How will it be day 2? I suspect better than today, but we will see. Underneath it all there are rich yellow stone fruits, ripe citrus and tangy orange peel. The classy RP&F oak sits over all else at the finish. I suspect this bottle may be atypical. Stay tuned. Day two, hardness has gone, the wine has tightened up and the citrus peel to the finish is more mandarin, oily and exotic. I will reload and definitely decant on opening.
