Sunday, June 30, 2019 - another great producer of CDP. CDP is blend of many grape types but mostly Grenache with a little bit of Mourvedre, Cinsault and Syrah. Fairly new winery by French standards (started in 1966). 33% of their vines are over 100 years old. Sandy soils. Tasting note: decanted for 4 hours. Alcoholic, meaty, brawny, lots of tea and leafy elements. Earthy with dark fruit, juniper. Potpourri of flavours that just pops in and out. Nice way to end the night.
