Thursday, July 11, 2019 - First from case. Clearly a controversial wine. I am not a lover of heavily muscled over ripe wine but I am a long time fan and buyer of Clos des Papes. I did not find this over the top. Certainly bigger styled than many vintages but there is balance and structure and some freshness in the finish. Yes it has some alcohol but this is CDP.overall I really enjoyed this and look forward to enjoying the rest of the case.
