Tuesday, July 16, 2019 - Pinot in the City (Chicago, IL): Walk-around tasting, brief note. Plenty of red cherry with bright and pure fruit character. Good weight and balance. Destemmed with cold soak and 25 days total on skins. Comes across as more classic, i.e., leaner and less ripe than most recent OR vintages, and thankfully many 2017s are coming through that way.

That's GREAT news re the '17s, as I've personally found recent OR ripeness generally disappointing.
