Sunday, August 4, 2019 - Perfect condition right now. Part of a multi-Meritage dinner party (grilled Tomahawk ribeyes). This wine is all about depth, balance and concentration. Depth of both aromatics and on the palate through to the finish. It is extremely well-balanced for 15+ years in the bottle - nothing angular, nothing dominating - tannins seamlessly integrated with the acid, alcohol and tertiary fruit. Concentration on an elegant scale with rich layers of dark red fruits, mocha, spice, cedar, and those fine ripe tannins. One more bottle to go....
