Saturday, August 31, 2019 - A 2014 family cellar release bottle. Drank with DAF to celebrate Project Yak. This was a fascinating wine, one that is hard to score. The nose initially was a bit weird, with some burnt rubber and Port aspects. This blew off to show dark cherries and leaves. The mouth throughout was rich and glorious, with a peacock’s tail for a finish. Overall, this was enjoyable, but I wouldn’t go back given the tariff.
