Friday, September 6, 2019 - On the day before the presentation of the 2018 barrel tasting at Keller, we emptied a bottle of 2013 "Kabinett P" in Kaupers Kapellenhof Restaurant (a brutally local and sensational 1-star cuisine) and almost danced with joy on the tables. The P also comes from the Rote Hang - from the Pettenthal. These wines are references of their kind and demonstrate that even "Kabinett" wines can be quite great.
In March 2019, the "2018 Nierstein Hipping Kabinett GK Price Louis" offered a promising fragrance of white-yellow stone fruits, light tobacco, a hint of hash pipe and herbal notes. Wonderful acidity, with a lot of power and aromatic depth. Now the acid-sweet play enchants and you can "drink" at the highest level. With all its power and depth, this wine floats, it possesses the lightness of being, that is the danced Ariel from Mozart's Magic Flute.
