Sunday, September 8, 2019 - Interesting and different nose: strawberries, strong forest herbaceousness, menthol, and perhaps the weirdest- and a positive, really! - a fleeting scent of sour cream potato chips. Brett? Plentiful soft tannins, very finely grained. Taste full of strawberry and raspberry, mint. Loads of fun to drink. I love Madiran and this is nothing like the Madiran I know. That said, it tastes Old World to me. But a blast to drink whatever it seems. Fabulous value for money.
Score: 90. Relative to expectations: ++
