Monday, September 30, 2019 - After visiting a few years ago and picking up a few bottles, I wanted to see how this was showing since many ‘14s are in a great spot right now.

This was arguably better at pop and pour than it was an hour in. Very perfumed with sweet baking spices (vanilla, cinnamon) and baked mixed berry pie (lots of sweet blueberries and blackberries). Dusty too with cassis and graphite. In time, it turned more red fruit dominant on the palate alongside sandalwood, cocoa, clay and spiced black cherry liqueur. Rich, smooth but enough structure to keep improving. A friend wanted a juicy, balanced Napa cab and this fit the bill nicely.
