Sunday, October 20, 2019 - This is still a very angular wine. Despite now 13 years of age, it has untamed tannins and very brutal earthy notes. All good, but not very pleasant or easy to pair with food. The important wood on the palate when it was young and more vanilla style is now a muted wall of untalking bricks. Difficult to estimate if further aging would bring more subtlety... one left, let’s try!
