Tuesday, November 19, 2019 - In the 3 years since I last opened a bottle, I think that the wine has integrated further and has become more classically seamless. There was sweeter fruit in 2000 than often and therefore less Tuscan specificity. However, this is a very attractive wine combining gracious fruit of some depth, underlying roundness, minerals, hints of forest floor, fresh acidity and firm finish into a harmonious whole. I got none of the varnish notes which I found before. Very good.
