Sunday, December 1, 2019 - low depth of color, straw rim. on the nose this is the kind of chenin that i always had trouble distinguishing from dry, minerally rieslings... the wine has little to none of the typical chenin notes, wet wool, quince, honey, nuttiness, etc... it is all minerals and neutral apple, some background nuttiness... no new oak or malo. on the palate dry, very high and fine acidity, moderate weight with a great core of minerals, low to moderate alcohol. balanced wine with good length and intensity, ok complexity... this is a very mineraly and cru like wine that may not be to everyones style. for it's style it is quite good, could use a little more length on the finish... very good wine and great QPR for this style of wine
