Wednesday, December 25, 2019 - the first of two bottles brought to elena's christmas dinner. previously tasted this wine last may. a subsequent CT note suggested the wine was in decline so decided to re-visit. i still find the wine to be on the young side with deep purple color and no fading at the rim. opulent nose with generous dark skin fruit which follows through to the palate. medium to full bodied. sustained finish. however, there is an oxidative raisin component which suggests rapid aging in the past few months. improves with air. the wine was well received. will attend to remaining bottles soon.
