Sunday, February 9, 2020 - Interesting that there are so many notes on young bottles and no notes after 2016. This wine is just about ready IMO. Deep colour with no sign of ageing. Good, restrained, Bordeaux nose. Attractive fruit on the palate with soft, integrated tannins and gentle food-friendly acidity. Quite long, with just a hint of cumin on the late taste. Surprisingly good claret from a middling year which indicates good winemaking. Enjoyable now.
24h later, it had settled and was very good with a rich beef stew.
