The full bodied palate shows a bit of spritz on the front, along with some slightly bitter orange peel [a note which might be confused with pepper]. Something of a hole in the middle subsides as it warms. Retains floral characteristics on the finish, but is neither particularly sweet nor acidic. Balanced, I guess, but certainly less vibrant than I'd hoped. [14.5% abv.; $28].
