Friday, February 14, 2020 - This was pretty good. Ann and I both liked it. Cold, it had sort of a polished, slightly waxy feel. Once it warmed up a little, I thought it was better, with more freshness from the acidity that became more apparent.

2/14/2020 12:11:00 PM - We've been plowing through a case of this with consistently good results - we had a bottle last night with chicken in a sherry/cream/mushroom sauce and the acidity in the wine cut through the richness of the sauce perfectly - I'm a fan.

2/14/2020 1:27:00 PM - Bob, we keep some white wine out in a beer fridge in the garage, and the whites are often way to cold when we first pull the cork. I like this too. I think Carricante is grape I should explore more. I've liked what I have had.

2/14/2020 2:26:00 PM - If you can find it, Benanti's Pietramarina is, IMO, the reference point for Carricante. Not easy to source (or cheap, for that matter), but a bottle that will really show the potential of this grape.
