Thursday, February 20, 2020 - Opus One (SWS): Darker color--inky. Nose is more black fruit than red. Savory espresso, dark chocolate. Vanilla/oak character on the nose.

On the palate, medium plus tannin (but velvety and fine grained), medium plus acid. Rounder/riper, but still fresh. Some caramel, maraschino cherry, plum skin. More noticeable fruit than the other vintages, but the fruit still balances it. The midpalate is especially creamy here.
