Tuesday, March 31, 2020 - A blend of Pommard and Wadenswil aged 10 month in French oak, 17% new. 220 cases produced
Decanted.
Scents reveal the clonal selection showing off notes of earth, sous bois, dark chocolate, black pepper, violets, rose, tea and bramble that come with the aromas of cherry, cranberry sauce and currant with hints of fennel.
The palate reveals a structured acid profile and above moderate tannins that briefly dry out the front palate before being softened by the acids. Flavors follow suit from the nose with notes of pepper and fennel laced cherry and currant, bramble berry, rose, tea, violet, earth, sous bois and a hint of smoke. The finish lingers with intensity and grip. This should cellar nicely
