Thursday, October 16, 2008 - Initially nose was very interesting; most dominant aspect was sweaty socks. This blew away after some time in the glass and the nose had some light spice but not much else. However, the rest of the wine was quite nice. The palate was dominated by purple fruit with good acidity. Strong yet balanced tannins. Medium-long finish. Very good with food. While the nose was not excellent, it was definitely interesting, and the rest of the wine was very good. If the nose were a bit better this wine would be 88+.
