Saturday, April 4, 2020 - Deep tulip color. Very honeyed aromas. Moderately sweet pear fruit on the attack with spice, but then an interesting and unusual tangy guava flavor that leads up to a soil-filled finish that I associate more with Clos du Bourg than Le Mont. Textural, complex, and quite fascinating. Mature with the acidity to hold it for a while.
And sure enough, if anything, it was better the next night, with wonderful interplay between the honey, spice, and acidity. Great stuff!
