Friday, October 17, 2008 - Saxum/Rhone Ranger dinner with Justin Smith (New York): Very aromatic with flowers, olive, red and dark fruits, spices, herbs and a touch of caramel on the nose. The palate is comparatively one-dimensional and doesn't show the complexity/interest of the nose, with big dark fruit flavours, vanilla, toast, low acidity and fairly soft tannins.
