Likes this wine:

Wednesday, April 15, 2020 - I've had really good bottles of this, and less good ones, and last night confirmed my hypothesis: this is a wine that shows well only on fruit or flower days. Last night, a fruit day, the wine showed a great balance of fresh dark blackberry and plum fruit, iron and gravel minerality, and the tobacco leaf green streak that Loire wine drinkers appreciate. Aromas are fresh and airy, the wine is rustic and charming, and finished clean.

But on other nights the thing shows muddy, ill-defined, and not delicious. It's the calendar. There are LOADWs of wines, even biodynamically farmed ones, whose showings do not seem tied to the bio calendar. This one, however, I'll drink from now on according to the calendar.
