Wednesday, April 15, 2020 - Followed over 2 nights. Came across as monolithic and heavily oaked. Fruit was concentrated, darker profile, with a silky texture that dried out on the back end with tannic structure. Not a lot of texture or depth on the palate and just a hint of heat on the nose. Seems like the parts were there but out of sync at this point. I generally like the bottling--but usually open when older. best to wait.
