Tuesday, May 5, 2020 - Last clandestine lunches? Truly, Toro's wines have a defined personality, although they are not for everyone. They are powerful wines that when combine elegance become delicious bottles, deserving of greater recognition. This is the case. An aristocratic perfume where the notes of low forest (thyme, rockrose, moist earth, minerals) are combined with a cornucopia of black and red berries and with notes of sweet woods offering a really difficult harmony to achieve. In the mouth it is more direct but without being overwhelmingly powerful. Acid and very long. Tasty and attractive. And all for less than half of what other wineries in the area ask for their premium wines. Merciless winner.

Verdaderamente los vinos de Toro tienen una personalidad definida aunque no son para todo el mundo. Son vinos poderosos que cuando aúnan elegancia se convierten en botellas deliciosas y merecedoras de un reconocimiento mayor. Este es el caso. Un aristocrático perfume donde se conjugan las notas de bosque bajo (tomillo, jara, tierra húmeda, minerales) con una cornucopia de bayas negras y rojas y con notas de maderas dulces ofreciendo una armonía realmente difícil de conseguir. En boca es más directa pero sin ser abrumadoramente poderosa. Ácida y muy larga. Sápida y atractiva. Y todo por menos de la mitad de lo que piden otras bodegas de la zona por sus vinos premium. El despiadado ganador.
