Sunday, May 17, 2020 - Cork in pristine shape; bottle sleeping in our cellar for over 20 years. Dark brown color, subdued nose, almost austere even an hour after opened. Tobacco and leather, earthy notes. Complex, ever changing by the minute. Typical Pauillac expression that adopts extensively to food tastes. Great effort that can be enjoyed for another 20 years, peak probably reached. Our first Lafite ever and it didn’t disappoint. It didn’t overwhelm either.
