Wednesday, June 3, 2020 - This was really quite good and definitely still primary. Decanted for 45 min; the nose was initially tight, then opened to show red plums, black currant, violet, and crushed stone; hints of spice emerge with more time in the glass and some black tea notes. The palate is stellar; really exudes power without weight in that the depth and flavors are very intense and yet the wine seems just silky. That said, there is some underlying structure. This should age easily another 15-20 years. Excellent. Wish I had a few more.
