Saturday, June 6, 2020 - Paired with HOQ dinners, her quark-stuffed pork loin with bacon and asparagus risotto; my ribeye steak with red rice/Swiss chard with roasted root veggies.

Opened and poured, no decanting. Softly tannic, deep ruby color. Dusty chocolate with cherry highlights. Opening and softening after a half hour.

Should decant when next opened. Will be interesting to try over next few years. Tannins promise to mellow.

6/7/2020 12:34:00 PM - Day 2 Has opened more; black cherries and blackberry forward, mocha-chocolate receded, hints of silica and Spring flowers, a little pepper in the finish. Young tannins still dominate.

Patience will reward. Expect a good QPR in time. Check back in 2022.
